Leung Shuk Man (PhD, SOAS, London, 2013) is an Assistant Professor in the School of Chinese at the University of Hong Kong. Prior to joining HKU in 2018, she taught at the Department of Chinese in Lingnan University and the Department of Chinese Culture in the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She specializes in modern and contemporary Chinese fiction, Hong Kong literature, and print media in Hong Kong’s cultural Cold War. Her first book Utopian Fiction in China: Genre, Print Culture, and Knowledge Formation, 1902–1912 was published by Brill in 2023. Her second book project, titled Identities in the Cold War: The Cultural Revolution Discourse in Hong Kong Print Media, 1966–1977,received funding from the Early Career Scheme (2017–2020) and the General Research Fund (2022–2024). Her major publications appear in Modern China, Inter-Asia Cultural Studies, Asian Studies Review, Modern Chinese Literature and Culture, Cultural Studies, Journal of Modern Literature in Chinese and Comparative Literature Studies, together with Chinese articles published in top-tier CSSCI (Chinese Social Sciences Citation Index) indexed journals. She also won the Hong Kong Publishing Biennial Awards and received funding from the Lord Wilson Heritage Trust in 2021.

 

Her undergraduate courses are CHIN 2172/HKGS 2014 Hong Kong Literature, CHIN 1121/HKGS 1002 Introduction to Contemporary Chinese Literature, and CHIN 2184/HKGS 2015 Understanding Hong Kong though Mass Media. She has also supervised MA, MPhil, and PhD students in her areas of expertise.

 

梁淑雯,香港大學中文學院助理教授。在2018年加盟香港大學前,她曾先在嶺南大學中文系及香港理工大學中國文化學系任教。她的研究專業為中國現當代小說、香港文學,以及香港文化冷戰時期的報刊文化。她的第一本書由Brill於2023年出版,題為Utopian Fiction in China: Genre, Print Culture, and Knowledge Formation, 1902–1912。她現在正撰寫第二本書稿,題為Identities in the Cold War: The Cultural Revolution Discourse in Hong Kong Print Media, 1966–1977,此出版計劃獲傑出青年學者計劃 (Early Career Scheme, 2017-2020) 及優配研究金(General Research Fund, 2022-2024)資助。她的論文見於Modern China, Inter-Asia Cultural Studies, Asian Studies Review, Modern Chinese Literature and Culture, Cultural Studies, Journal of Modern Literature in Chinese, Comparative Literature Studies 及 中文CSSCI 期刊。她並於2021年獲得香港出版雙年獎和衞奕信勳爵文物信託資助。
