Trained in both Western and Chinese Philosophy in my undergraduate and master studies in Hong Kong, I then studied in the Chinese Institute of Oxford University and got the D.Phil. degree there. I came to the School of Chinese, HKU in September, 2008 and have been responsible for teaching courses of Chinese Philosophy such as Confucianism, Daoism and Buddhism. My research interests lie in early Confucianism (in particular the thought of Xunzi), ethics and political philosophy, comparative philosophy, and issues of modernity and Chinese thought.
